Dependent pass is a facility provided to students who carry responsibility while continuing their studies in Malaysia
APPLICATION ON NEW DEPENDENT PASS
The Immigration Department will only accept the dependent application after completion of student (principle) pass. Students who are currently enrolled in the English Language Center (ELS) UPM program, dependents are not eligible for a Dependent Pass. The Dependent Pass is only granted to full-time students.

1. Spouse (wife/husband)
2. Children (below 7 years)
3. Student’s parents
WHO CAN BRING THEIR FAMILY?
1. Postgraduate students
2. Undergraduate students from following countries;-
- Saudi Arabia
- Bahrain
- United Arab Emirates (UAE)
- Turkey
- Qatar
- Azerbaijan
- Palestinian Territories
- Kuwait
- Yemen
- Iran
- Syria
- Oman
- Jordan
- Lebanon
- Iraq
- Libya
- Maldives
International & Mobility Centre only will accept new dependent pass application if holder of student pass have minimum 6 month valid student pass.

CHECKLIST FOR NEW DEPENDENT PASS APPLICATION
Notes:
- This checklist is for ONE DEPENDENT PASSPORT application. Additional of other dependent passport will require the same number of copies.
- For LIABILITY (CHILDREN) above 7 AGE YEARS AND UNDER 17 YEARS must submit documents from international schools.
- For new baby born in Malaysia, please apply Visa within 3 months from date of birth.
- Documents which DO NOT follow the specifications are deemed incomplete and shall be rejected.
- Pease DO NOT staple your documents and photo.
- Use a paper clip instead.
- Please numbering all copy passport pages to avoid missing pages and delay at EMGS.
APPLICATION FOR RENEWAL OF DEPENDENT PASS
The application for the extension of the dependent pass can be submitted together with the application for the extension of student pass.
IMPORTANT NOTES
- For children aged 7 and above, please get a support letter from the International School / Embassy.
- The liability is required to have its own passport. If a family member is specified in the same passport, a letter from the embassy stating that the individual in the passport can not be separated from the passport. The letter must be accompanied by the application
